In the Book of Revelation, Jesus tells us through the Apostle John that he hates the doctrine of Balaam.
To the church of Pergamos Jesus says:
I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the DOCTRINE OF BALAAM, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
Revelation 2:14
What is Jesus talking about?
We are introduced to Balaam in Numbers 22. Having received the Ten Commandments from God on Mount Sinai, the Israelites are on a military march towards Canaan. They are encamped on the plains of Moab having just defeated the Amorite nations.
The Moabite king, Balac, fearing he’s next, sends for a diviner named Balaam to help him. Balac wants Balaam to CURSE Israel through divination. But when Balaam seeks God to find a source for his potential curse, God tells him that he is not to curse Israel because they are blessed. As a result Balaam refuses to curse Israel, speaking instead four oracles to bless them. It isn’t until later that we learn Balaam wasn’t so noble. Even though he blessed Israel outwardly, he subversively taught Balac how to defeat Israel by leading them into idolatry and fornication. For this, Balaam was killed (Numbers 31:16, 8).
This is the doctrine of Balaam— Bless your enemies outwardly but teach them doctrines that will lead them into SPIRITUAL idolatry and fornication with the LORD. In this way the Lord will curse them.
The Deceptive Doctrines Series
In the next few articles I will be discussing end time doctrines that are leading God’s people into SPIRITUAL idolatry with the Lord and fornication with the enemy.
What are these doctrines?
• The belief that there is a 7 year tribulation.
• The belief that Christians will be raptured before the Great Tribulation.
• The belief that a 7 year peace treaty will be signed between Israel and the Antichrist.
• The belief that a third Jewish temple will be built.
• The belief that ethnic Jews are God’s chosen people.
• The belief that the formation of Israel in 1948 was God’s doing.
Where have these doctrines come from? They come from Hal Lindsey (The Late Great Planet Earth). They come from Tim LaHaye (Left Behind). They come from a long line of BALAC’S before them. These teachings have become so intermingled with Christian thought over the last 100 years that few Christians even doubt them.
But our forefathers never believed them. Men like: Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Wesley, William Tyndale, Thomas Cranmer, John Thomas, John Knox, and Cotton Mather held to a Historical View of scripture.
These doctrines represent a Futurist View and were first introduced to the world by a Roman Catholic Jesuit named Francisco Ribera (1537-1591). While initially dismissed, they continued to gain momentum as each successive “Balac” promoted them (see my article, Where the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Theory Came From and Why You Shouldn’t Believe It).
But who or what is the driving force behind them and why?
History will show that the Roman Catholic Church is behind the teachings of Futurism. There is an ulterior motive for bringing these views to the world. It isn’t just a matter of theological differences. Under pressure from Protestant Reformers like Martin Luther and John Calvin, who were calling Rome the seat of antichrist, the Pope conspired to do something that would divert attention away from himself and the truth of scripture.
By creating a Futurist view that taught all prophecy happens during the last 7 years of time, the Pope could divert attention away from himself.
Since any new idea takes time to catch on, the Roman Catholic Church has labored through time to conquer the world with Futurist thinking. Through the years, each successive “Balac” has modified and added to the fallacy of the doctrines from: Francisco Ribera to John Darby (1800-1882), to Cyrus Scofield who incorporated Darby’s Futurist views in the Scofield Reference Bible in 1909.
Now that these doctrines have infiltrated every Protestant denomination through Jesuit coadjutors such as Hal Lindsey and Tim LaHaye, the Roman Catholic Church is using them to establish a World Ecumenical Church.
In the following video it is sickening to watch Protestant leaders establish a spiritual alliance with the Pope of Rome. It’s idolatry and fornication with the enemy of Yahweh!

Who is the Pope and why does the world flock to him?
In my series, The Masters of Deception (located in the archive to your right) I show you that the Vatican is the Beast of Revelation and the Pope it’s Antichrist. The Roman Catholic Church is the offspring of the same Mystery religion started at the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9).
God tells us to come out of her (Mystery Babylon) and her teachings!
COME OUT OF HER, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Revelation 18:4
Those that aren’t aware of her teaching are dancing with the Devil. Your innocence is being corrupted. This video from the Legends shows you how seductive it can be.

Many of the above doctrines we have all believed. Myself included. I have had to delete them from my blog to correct my error.
That’s why in the next few articles I will show you why these doctrines aren’t true. With a proper perspective of scripture, God will free you from Vatican doctrine and he’ll use you mightily in the days ahead.
